Turning Pages, Solving Problems, Chasing Goals.

Hi, I’m Max! I started this website when I was nine because I love reading, solving puzzles, playing sports, and exploring new ideas. One day I hope to be a scientist, and writing helps me practice explaining and sharing what I discover.

This website is my journal, workshop, and playground all in one. I hope you enjoy following along as I learn and share.

How This Problem Works #02 — Gauss 7 (2025) Problem 16

By

1️⃣ What is the structure of this problem?

This is a number sense problem. The information we have is that 6 numbers we have to put into an equation and in the end we must find the greatest possible result. The connections are that they are focusing on placing the numbers under constraints. . The triangle organizes the problem by linking the different ways they can occur for placement and possible outcomes(order).

2️⃣ Where is the decision point?

One decision I made was when deciding on the most important numbers. I thought about the relationship between the combinations of numbers. The combination matters because you must find the largest possibility. The most important part was the digits that went in front. I discovered this helped me understand the question even better.
