Turning Pages, Solving Problems, Chasing Goals.

Hi, I’m Max! I started this website when I was nine because I love reading, solving puzzles, playing sports, and exploring new ideas. One day I hope to be a scientist, and writing helps me practice explaining and sharing what I discover.

This website is my journal, workshop, and playground all in one. I hope you enjoy following along as I learn and share.

How This Problem Works #01 — Gauss 7 (2025) Problem 15

By

1️⃣ What is the structure of this problem?

This is a probability problem where two dice are rolled to get a sum.   The information is that there are multiple sums from 2-12 made by two die.The connection is that the sums have unequal possibilities. The triangle is the problem, the information, and the connection.

2️⃣ Where is the decision point?

One decision I made was when I was deciding which was the most important before worrying about others. I thought about the relationships between pairs and sums. The most important is the pairs and sums of the numbers. I realized that it helped me understand the question more clearly.

🧠 One Thinking Skill I Used

One thinking skill I used was probability, I used it to help me calculate the chance of every roll and number.
