Hi, I’m Max! I started this website when I was nine because I love reading, solving puzzles, playing sports, and exploring new ideas. One day I hope to be a scientist, and writing helps me practice explaining and sharing what I discover.

This website is my journal, workshop, and playground all in one. I hope you enjoy following along as I learn and share.

When Bravery Barked

By

✍️ Prompt: “Bravery in Small Moments”

Write about a time when you were brave in a small way — even if no one else noticed.

Bob is a dog who used to live with Ivan and Ruby. He is not very big, and sometimes he feels scared like we all do. But Bob has a big heart and always tries to do the right thing. He likes to help his friends and cares about everyone at the animal shelter.

One day, a powerful storm came to the shelter. There was a hurricane and very heavy rain. Some animals were in danger, and Bob knew he couldn’t help, but he was still determined to do so.

Meanwhile, Bob flew again and even rescued a baby sloth that was stuck high in a tree after getting lost! After he found his “family” at the zoo, he knew he was missing someone important. Then he saw a gorilla hand sticking out of a pile of stones! Bob barked at the pile of stone until a group of firefighters started removing the boulders.

In the end, Bob felt proud and relieved. He learns that bravery doesn’t means you are never afraid. It means you try to help others. Even though you are scared. A dog like Bob may be small, but he can do big things.
